Biography
Niharika graduated from Aga Khan Mizzima Secondary School in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, during which time she won over 40 medals in competitive swimming and competed in the Tanzanian Nationals Championship. She has demonstrated a high level of commitment to volunteerism through her involvement in the Alpha Leo Club, where she was selected as "Leo of the Year" for being the most dedicated, hardworking, and generous volunteer. She has also participated in multiple Model United Nations conferences, where she advocates for diplomacy and debate. Niharika chose the University of Calgary for the competitive and research-oriented engineering program and the internships and other opportunities offered by the Schulich School of Engineering. Niharika says that receiving a Prestige Award has allowed her to maintain a healthy school-life balance and a high degree of community work and volunteerism.
