Biography

JT is enrolled in the Schulich School of Engineering and chose this program because of his passion for mathematics and science, along with having a strong drive towards solving
challenging problems. His future ambitions are to work in the renewable energy sector.

JT had graduated from Bert Church High School. During his high school years, his top three achievements were being Valedictorian of Bert Church High School’s graduating class of 2020, achieving 100 per cent on both Chemistry and Physics Diplomas, and being Assistant Captain of the Airdrie CFR Bisons Midget AAA hockey team for the 2019/20 season.

He chose to attend the University of Calgary for his undergraduate studies because of the interest the school showed in him, and because of the Schulich School of Engineering’s strong reputation.

He is very thankful for being awarded a Prestige Award because it will give him the freedom to focus on his academics without having to worry about finding the financial resources that are required to be a university student. He would like to sincerely thank his family, friends, coaches, principals, and teachers for all of their help and support. He is very grateful for everything they have done for him and how they got him into a position where achieving this award would be possible.
