Biography
Jenna is enrolled in the engineering program. She chose this program because of her affinity for science, mathematics, and problem-solving. She wants a career in which she can innovate and find new ways to solve the important issues surrounding her. She hopes to have a career as either a biomedical or chemical engineer. She would like to become a professor to teach the next generation of engineers while being able to do research.
Jenna had graduated from Father Lacombe High School. During her high school years, her top three achievements were receiving a full International Baccalaureate diploma, being her school's valedictorian, and being the vice-president of her school's Social Justice club.
She chose the University of Calgary for her undergraduate studies because of its prestigious research reputation and her familiarity with the campus. Additionally, she attended the Women in Engineering Day at the University of Calgary and saw some of the brilliant opportunities that could be found at UCalgary.
She is extremely grateful for the Prestige Award because it will allow her to focus solely on her studies and volunteer work. Without the financial burden of university, she can take on all the interesting opportunities that come her way.
