Biography
After completing her undergraduate degree, Jacquelyn would like to pursue either a degree in pharmacy or a medical degree.
Before coming to University of Calgary, Jacquelyn graduated from Robert Thirsk High School. Her top three achievements in high school were: being part of the team that were the 2016 Rugby City Champion; being named 2017 and 2018 Consecutive Badminton Team MVP; and lastly her involvement in the 2018 Leading the Book Drive and donating more than 600 books.
Jacquelyn chose the University of Calgary because since the institution is close to her home, she can pursue extracurricular opportunities such as athletics and volunteering while also being able to study in the Health Science program. She is a frequent member of the University of Calgary's badminton club, as well as a regular volunteer with the Calgary Public Library. Studying in Calgary allows her to pursue her interests and passions inside and outside of school.
Jacquelyn explains the impact of receipt of the Chancellor’s Club Scholarship: "The Chancellor's Club Scholarship will allow me to follow my dream career in graduate studies in either pharmacy or medicine. Furthermore, I will be able to meet an amazing group of students who love to help their community grow and improve."
