Duncan R.

Biography

Duncan is enrolled in a BSc Biology because biology has always been something that has interested him greatly, how reactions occur in the smallest cells all the way up to the largest ecosystems is a question he has asked from a very young age. He hopes to be able to work in a capacity that collaborates with and helps others.

Duncan had graduated from Summerland Secondary School. During his high school years, his top three achievements were being the male Lead Headmistress Agatha Trunchbull in his school's production of Matilda the musical, being part of a new Wellness Mentoring program, which worked with middle and high school level students to help with mental health and other issues that they may face and being the editor-in-chief of the school's yearbook, going into the school and working full days after school was closed after spring break to finish the book.

He chose the University of Calgary because he believes that it is a leader in both education and research.

The Chancellor's Scholarship is a great honour, and one that both allows him additional opportunities to succeed and also drives him further.
