Biography

Robert graduated from William Aberhart High School in Calgary, AB. While there he wrote and delivered the Salutatorian commencement reflection speech at the grade 12 graduation ceremony and remained as a member of the platform party. He also received the Gerry Denault Prize Certificate of Excellence and Culture Award for being the top French program graduating student. Additionally, he earned the National Lifeguard certification in grade 11.

Robert chose UCalgary for his studies to gain a first-class education at a world-recognized institution that offers diverse curriculum choices, an internship program, and cutting-edge research. It also happens to be in his hometown.

Robert is enrolled in the Bachelor of Science – Engineering and plans on choosing the Mechanical Engineering major. He chose this program so he could apply his interest in physics, math, and design in a hands-on setting.

Robert wants to explore careers in the energy industry but is open to possibly working in aerospace or continuing into graduate degrees and pursuing research.

For Robert, the Prestige Award allows him to immerse himself in Engineering and focus on his studies to build his career prospects and get involved in the UCalgary clubs without needing to work while studying.

As for research interests, Robert is interested in aerospace design and mechanics. He is excited to apply emerging technologies in practical ways to further human development and exploration.

Robert looks forward to exploring all that UCalgary has to offer, including connecting with its dynamic researchers and engineers.
