Awards and Scholarships

Savanah graduated from St. Joseph’s High School in Renfrew, ON. Savanah chose to study at UCalgary because of the unique first-year program that the Schulich School has for engineering students. She feels that this provides her with the security of guaranteeing the major of her choice and removes the stress of needing to achieve specific averages, instead allowing her to focus on her success. She also appreciated that, as someone who loves to be immersed in research opportunities, UCalgary offers a diverse selection of student clubs and teams.

Savanah is enrolled in the Bachelor of Science – Engineering program. She chose this program because she aspires to use her passions and academic strengths to make a difference in the problems that society faces today and in the future.

Savanah’s future career ambitions include being at the forefront of global projects that allow her to travel while building a more promising future.

The Prestige Award allows Savanah to focus on her academic success and immerse herself in student life while relieving her financial burden. Savanah strives to be a well-rounded person and this award has allowed her to pursue her passion and goals.

Savanah considers herself very inquisitive and is excited to be exposed to research and co-op opportunities where she can put her curiosity to work.
