Biography
Aroush graduated from Ernest Manning High School in Calgary, AB. During that time, she received academic honours awards two years in a row, successfully created and hosted a charity fundraising campaign through Islamic Relief raising the goal of $1,000 in funds for charity, and became an owner of a small custom shoe business which is currently in its prototype stage.
Aroush chose to study at UCalgary because it provides a vast amount of unique research opportunities that will be able to assist her in reaching her goals for improving the efficiency, durability, and quality of medical prosthetics.
Aroush is enrolled in the Bachelor of Science – Engineering program. She chose to become an engineer because it will provide her with the essential skill set to carry out the research and the work she wants to do in prosthetics.
Aroush wants to become a software engineer and work for a biotech company, focusing on creating and improving medical prosthetics.
For Aroush, the Prestige Award greatly enables her to dedicate the necessary time towards completing her degree and achieving her future goals.
Aroush is interested in researching medical prosthetics and computerized biotechnology. She is excited to learn about how software engineering can make an impact in the medical field.
