Aidan M.

Biography

Aidan graduated from Swan Valley Regional Secondary School in Swan River, MB. While there, he won Athlete of the Year, competed at the provincial level in multiple sports, and coached youth soccer and basketball programs.

Aidan chose UCalgary because he believes that the Schulich School of Engineering has one of the best engineering programs in the country. He also feels fortunate to have family in Calgary, and he took the opportunity to get to know them.

Aidan is in the Bachelor of Science – Engineering program. He chose this program because he wants to use his skills to find ways to make the world a better place.

At this time, Aidan wants to become a biomedical engineer so his work can help people with health challenges or disabilities or make life better for people with illnesses.

For Aidan, the Prestige Award takes a lot of stress off his shoulders, as he does not have to worry about tuition. It has also introduced him to many people. He appreciates having the connections as an out-of-province student.

Aidan is looking forward to learning more about what it means to be an engineer and learning how he wants to advance his career.

Aidan wants to take the opportunity to thank the donor for the award. The financial help means a lot to him, and his family and it will always be his point of pride to have been selected for the award.
