Kickstart your university journey with the IGNITE Program, a free 4-week Health Promotion initiative offered through Student Wellness, designed to foster social connections, boost awareness of UCalgary’s health and wellness resources, and provide opportunities to improve your own fitness routine and overall wellbeing. Participants in the IGNITE Program will participate in a fitness class, attend a Design Your Own Workout session, receive a tour of the fitness facilities, learn about the Student Wellness resources, and participate in a variety of activities designed to help foster social connection.
Applications for the Fall 2025 IGNITE Program are open to First Year UCalgary Undergraduate Students.
To participate in the IGNITE Program, students must be able to commit to the following session dates:
- October 1, 3 – 4:30 p.m.: IGNITE Program Orientation
- October 8, 3 – 4:30 p.m.: Design You Own Workout Workshop
- October 15, 3 – 4:30 p.m.: Fitness Class
- October 22, 3 – 4:30 p.m.: Fitness Facility Tour and Wrap-up

Applications close Monday, September 22 at 8:30 a.m.. There are limited spots available for the Fall 2025 semester. If selected, you will be contacted by the Program Coordinator by September 24, 2025.
