This workshop will help you learn about the importance of self-care, explore your current coping mechanisms and create an individual self-care plan.

This workshop will help you develop a better understanding of your own anxiety, explore strategies to reduce the impact of stress over the long term and learn ways to manage anxiety in the moment.

Take a break with Student Wellness Services and the Centre for Career and Personal Development at Unwind! Stop by to decorate a tote bag, learn about the wellness resources available to you as a UCalgary student, and connect with our Peer Support volunteers. All students welcome!
Join the Health Promotion & Outreach team and artist Dean Stanton for a drop in collaborative painting activity celebrating Neurodiversity Celebration Week. Students, staff, and faculty are invited to stop by and contribute to a shared artwork that highlights the creativity and diversity of our campus community.
Join the Campus Food Hub, Student Wellness Services, and the Students’ Union Food Bank for a special Sustainable Development Goals Month workshop that brings together student wellness, food security, and sustainable eating.
This 1-hour workshop will explore:
- Harm Reduction as an overall approach.
- Strategies for safer substance use related to alcohol and cannabis.
- Supports and resources both on- and off-campus
- This training is open to current students, faculty, and staff at the University of Calgary. This workshop will not be recorded.

Learn about Naloxone in this free, in-person session led by trained staff. Practice is optional, and all comfort levels are respected. Take home a Naloxone kit and get a certificate upon completion!

In this one-hour workshop you will learn more about exam anxiety, the impact it has on you, and ways you can manage it. We will focus on your health & wellness, managing your thoughts, active coping, relaxation skills, and test taking skills.

This workshop will help you shift your relationship with uncertainty by offering perspectives and strategies to address the unknown with courage and confidence. If this resonates with you, please join us for an hour of discussion, reflection, and dialogue as we explore tools and ideas for embracing uncertainty!
Through guided exercises, skills practice, and supportive discussion with peers who “get it,” you’ll build confidence in handling intrusive thoughts without getting stuck in them. If you’re ready to feel more grounded, focused, and in control of how you spend your time, this group offers a warm space to begin.
Students who complete the registration form will be signed up for all three sessions.
Join the Student Wellness Services Peer Support & Outreach Volunteers for a relaxing self-care event. Drop-in to make a personalized self-care kit, snap some photos at the photo booth, and take a moment to celebrate yourself right before Valentine’s Day.

Workshops in the community
Recovery College focuses on helping people recognize and develop their own resourcefulness and awareness in order to support themselves or their loved one’s recovery journey.
Everyone is welcome to attend these free courses and drop-in classes. No previous experience is required and with more than 30 courses to choose from, there is a course for everyone.
