Electrical engineers ask questions such as: How can computers perform faster calculations? Can we get more energy from the current power system? How do cellular phones work?
Electrical engineers create new ways to harness sustainable energy by designing hospital life-support systems, solar panels for space and more. Learn in class, during tutorials and through an advanced design course.
Electrical engineers develop solutions through the research and manipulation of electrical technologies. Electrical Engineering reaches every corner of our lives from telecommunications to electrical power systems. The skills you’ll gain will be applicable to a wide range of work environments.
This fully accredited program features a common first year, which consists of 10 courses in mathematics, sciences, computing, engineering principles, communications and design. These courses will provide you with a solid foundation for your engineering training and introduce you to a variety of engineering disciplines. You'll apply for admission to a specific engineering program at the end of your first year.
Gain real-world work experience while you learn with short- and long-term work placements available throughout your undergraduate degree. Opportunities are available through the Engineering Career Practicum, Engineering Internship Program and Industry Mentorship Program.
Spark an exciting career in our high-tech world. Graduates become electrical engineers, instrumentation engineers and research scientists.
