As an international student studying at UCalgary, you may require a provincial attestation letter (PAL). Students can anticipate receiving a PAL within in 3-10 business days after accepting their offer and paying their admission deposit where applicable.
What is a Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL)?
The provincial attestation letter serves as proof that a student has a credible admission and has been accounted for under a provincial or territorial allocation within the national cap.
If required, a PAL must be included with your study permit application when you submit your application to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
Details about PALs can be found on the IRCC website.
