Biography

I proudly come from a family of boat people who personifies resilience, perseverance, and tenacity. The inspiration I draw from my parents have propelled my active volunteerism within the field of immigration and settlement.
Additionally, I am driven by my desire to create meaningful and positive change. I actively seek out opportunities to make a difference. This pursuit has led me to immerse myself in equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives, while also assuming the role of Campus Food Bank Coordinator for the Student Union.
My passion for community and international development runs deep, with a particular focus on the intersection of gender and sexuality. Fueled by this passion, I engage in a diverse range of activities, including serving as the Co-President of the Global Development Society and conducting research on decolonization, queer geographies, and resistance.
On my free time you will find me wandering around Calgary in search of the best cafes, listening to podcasts, and reading non-fiction books (which are the best sorry!)
