Biography

“You are not a drop in the ocean. You are the entire ocean, in a drop.”- Jalaluddin Rumi

Due to my immense interest in entrepreneurship and technology, I decided to pursue a dual degree in Computer Science and Business at the University of Calgary. I believed that this combined program would allow me to experience both the technical and leadership aspects, allowing me to be a leader in a rapidly globalizing and technology-focused world. As of now, I am looking to concentrate in finance on the business side and artificial intelligence on the computer science side.

Overall, the dual degree program has opened up many opportunities for me. For example, I have been able to work as a web developer and accounting specialist assistant in the past. Currently, I am working as a financial advisor, helping people, especially the youth, build strong financial foundations for their future.

As someone who wishes to create a positive impact on the world, I strive to volunteer whenever I get the chance. I have volunteered for initiatives such as the World Partnership Walk, an annual event that aims to raise funding for poverty alleviation, and Global Encounters, an initiative which provided me with the opportunity to travel to Karachi, Pakistan to help those in rural areas.

Aside from school, work, and volunteering, I am also an avid soccer player, having played at both the national and provincial levels. In my free time, I like to listen to music, play video games, and hang out with family and friends!
