Biography

"If it doesn't challenge you, it won't change you." - Fred DeVito

My mother is a surgeon, and she always told me growing up that the physical ailments of the body were easy to fix. What she can't cure, are illnesses caused or intensified by mental and emotional problems. This lead me to develop a strong interest in psychology and how much our thoughts affect our health and mood. Because music has always been a big part of my life, I wanted to continue my education by pursuing a performance degree. One area I am interested in is the intersection between music and health, and what interdisciplinary opportunities lie there. Another is cyberpsychology. With rapidly changing technology and the first generation raised on internet and social media entering the workplace, there is so much to be researched regarding human-to-human interactions mediated by machines.

In my spare time, I love to stay active with running, boxing, and dancing, as well as learning new activities like golf and tennis. I'm also a huge foodie who loves exploring the city while finding new food places to try!
