Biography

Pavan, a third-year Mechanical Engineering student at the Schulich School of Engineering, is known for his unwavering dedication to creating a positive impact on his community. As the Team Lead and President of Engineers Without Borders (EWB), he has championed global-mindedness and social responsibility among engineers, challenging conventional norms in the engineering profession. Pavan's contributions to EWB have fostered a culture of innovation and service.

Pavan has also proudly represented the University of Calgary at national engineering conferences hosted by the Canadian Federation of Engineering Students (CFES), showcasing his ability to engage with and learn from engineering students nationwide.

Aside from this, he has also been actively involved with the University of Calgary Solar Car Club, particularly on the body and chassis team,wherein he has contributed to the design and development of the car's dashboard, honing his engineering skills in practical applications.

Driven by his passion for leadership, advocacy, and community service, Pavan is eager to continue nurturing these interests through Scholars Academy. He sees the program as an opportunity to engage in service-learning projects, collaborate with students from diverse academic backgrounds, and draw inspiration from their stories. Pavan's ultimate goal is to inspire the next generation of engineering students by applying his knowledge and experiences to make a lasting impact in the field.
