Biography

"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord"

Hi, I'm Lulya! I'm in the final year of my Bachelor's of Science in Psychology, with an embedded certificate in Mental Wellbeing and Resilience. I am passionate about self care, and encouraging others to prioritize their wellbeing amongst life's demands. My goal is to encourage others to maintain balance between mental, physical, spiritual, social, academic and occupational wellbeing -- even when it's tempting to choose one over the others!

I'm currently involved in Jack.org UCalgary chapter, which is a club aiming to revolutionize mental health, as well as Power to Change, being a campus ministry. I also take time to volunteer in psychological research labs, and prioritize courses that provide hands-on experiences, such as Research on Global Challenges (UNIV 302) and Capstone in Mental Wellbeing (WELL 400).

My goal is to someday become a Forensic Psychologist, taking either the applied-clinical or applied-social route. Aside from academics, I enjoy reading, crocheting and competitive reality TV.
