Biography

"Respect for the Inherent Dignity and Worth of Persons, Social Justice, and Service to Humanity."

In the spirit of reconciliation, I want to acknowledge that I live, work, and play on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut’ina, the Îyâxe Nakoda Nations, the Métis Nation (Region 3), and all people who make their homes in the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta.

I completed my Diploma in Social Work at Mount Royal University in 2022 and am excited to be completing my Bachelor of Social Work here at the University of Calgary. I am passionate about advocating for social justice, equality, equity, and gender and sexual diversity.

Being a Registered Social Worker, it is my goal to achieve changes in the micro, mezzo, and macro levels of my current and future social work practice. I also belong to the 2SLGBTQ+ community and strongly value diversity, inclusivity, and representation. As a new Scholars Academy member, I hope to leave behind a legacy that future alumni will be proud to continue.
