Biography

“On a branch floating downriver a cricket, singing." - Kobayashi Issa

Having spent her formative years playing outside, it’s no surprise that Agam is fascinated by how engineering and the natural world move in dialogue. She considers herself to be, first and foremost, a student of nature and is forever curious about the resilient, efficient, and elegant mechanisms by which it adapts to challenges.

Her eclectic interests have brought her to take on many roles, including those of a hospital volunteer, student mentor, biomimetic designer, rocket avionics and ground control developer, podcast host, and an R&D intern.

Agam is currently involved in projects studying how artificial intelligence can learn from and mimic the most sophisticated computer to ever exist– the human brain! As a final-year engineering student, she is compelled towards a career that combines elements of academic research, industry, and clinical application.

In her free time, she enjoys reading poetry, playing the NYT mini, and, more recently, running!
