Incline push-ups

6-8 reps
- Place hands on the edge of a bench while toes stay planted on the ground
- Chest should align with edge of bench when at the bottom of the push-up
- Straight line from head to ankles
- Shoulders engaged; flat t-shirt sitting across the shoulder blades
- Chin tucked so that neck is in line with the rest of the spine
- Hold elbows out at 45-degree angle from the torso
- Rounded shoulders
- Cue "Pinch shoulders back towards spine"
- Elbows out at 90-degrees to torso
- Cue "V-shape, not T-shape"
- Head hanging down
- Cue "Long, strong neck"
- Cue "Look up through the eyebrows"
- Shoulder stability
- Activates shoulders, chest, and trunk muscles
