Single-leg glides with stops

1-2 widths/leg
- Players will push off and glide forward on one leg in a straight line for as long as they can
- Maintain knee alignment over ankle
- Keep torso upright and positioned straight ahead
- Keep stick on ice
- Players will use their trail leg to stop themselves after a few seconds of gliding, then push off again
- Knee collapsing inward
- Raising stick off of the ice surface
- Leaning to either side
- Single-leg glides are useful for hockey players to maintain good knee control and ankle stability.
- Strong foot/ankle position ensures movement occurs forward (and not to either side).
