- Keep neutral head/neck position throughout the exercise "Stand up tall"
- Keep elbow tucked in to side
- Engage core to maintain upright position
- Ensure exercise is performed for each shoulder
- Excessive force from partner contact that pushes the athlete too far off balance that they cannot recover, or that causes the athlete to be in an unsafe position
- Cue "Slight contact"
- Educate partner about the importance of safety of teammates
- Elbows out
- Cue "Touch your elbow to your hip"
- Dynamic exercise involving contact
- Increases heart and breathing rates to prepare body for the warm-up exercises that follow
