- Keep neutral head/neck position throughout the exercise "Stand up tall"
- Slight bend of knees when landing
- Arms are straight and reach up overhead
Variations include:
- Moving forward
- Moving backward
- Arms moving up and down in front of body (sagittal plane) rather than out to sides
- Legs moving forward and back (sagittal plane) rather than out to sides
- Lazy arms
- Cue "Reach up to the sky"
- Stiff knees on landing
- Cue "Soft bend at knees"
- Increases heart rate and breathing rates
- Practices safe landing technique
- Develops coordination
- Shoulder mobility
