- Jog in a figure-8 shape, opening up the body while transitioning around the cones
- Bend at the hips and knees to get low while transitioning around the cones
- Relaxed running technique
- Arms move forward with opposing leg with elbows flexed at 90-degrees
- Lazy arms
- Cue "Swing from the shoulder"
- Cue "Drive elbows back"
- Remaining upright while transitiong around the cones
- Cue "Get low"
- Increases heart and breathing rates to prepare body for the warm-up exercises that follow
- Practices a non-linear running pattern
