The Artona Group Inc. is the official graduation photographer of the University of Calgary.
Artona appointments
Artona photographers are on campus for individual graduation photo sessions. Appointments will be booked on a first-come, first-served basis.

Photography during your convocation ceremony
Your graduation moment captured forever
During the convocation ceremony, there are two built-in opportunities to capture your photo. The first moment takes place before you cross the stage to meet the platform party. The second takes place as you come off the stage and before you head back to your seat.
Photo previews and order information will be sent automatically to each student's mailing address about two weeks after their ceremony, followed by an email containing unique login information to view and order images online.

Selfie and family photo locations
1. UCalgary sign (next to the Arch)
What better way to showcase “you did it!” than to get a photo in your convocation gown next to the official entrance to campus?
2. Green spaces near the Oval & TFDL
Looking for a shady spot under a tree for a family photo? There is a lot of green space around the Oval and in the TFDL Quad (bordered by Kinesiology, MacEwan Student Centre and Taylor Family Digital Library).
3. Kinesiology’s dinosaur
Take a moment to snap a fun photo with our dinosaur outside the entrance to Kinesiology. Rex would want you to do it!
4. Olympic Arch
Just outside Kinesiology, it provides the perfect frame for a group shot.
5. The Spire (aka the Paperclip)
Many families have taken photos outside of the Olympic Oval under this public art from the 1988 Calgary Olympics.
6. UCalgary letters
You’ll also find these just outside of the Oval to take a photo in front of (and definitely not climb on)!
7. Rex bench
Another dinosaur? You guessed it! Have a seat with your UCalgary buddy as he welcomes you into the Alumni community, located in the Kinesiology Complex.
8. UCalgary Alumni photo booth
Head to the Hunter Student Commons to step inside (literally) your new role as a UCalgary graduate!
9. UCalgary Alumni photo frames
Say hi to the Alumni office and let us help you snap a few photos with family and friends behind our giant photo frames in the Kinesiology Complex near the squash courts.
