Mark Agius

Mark joined SIPRC as a project manager in 2020 having previously worked on campus with the Owerko Centre at the Alberta Children's Hospital Research Institute (ACHRI). Mark's focus is managing the communications, public relations, partnerships, and knowledge mobilization areas of SIPRC.

Prior to working with the University of Calgary, Mark worked with the Government of Ontario with a variety of portfolios across ministries including Health, Education, and Child and Youth Services.  After graduating from the London School of Economics and Political Science, Mark also worked as a strategic planner with a number of boutique advertising agencies in Toronto, Ontario. Though policy and public engagement work Mark has developed a particular interest in the areas of mental health, policy development, and physical health and wellness.

While not at work, you'll find Mark parenting one, or all, of his four children and likely consuming copious amounts of coffee.
