UCeed Neuro Fund
Empowering neuroscience innovation through investment and mentorship to early-stage, research-based, brain and mental health startups.
UCeed Neuro was launched thanks to the T. Boone Pickens Foundation, with support from Brian and Stephanie Felesky and continues to be funded with donations raised at Tourmaline Oil’s annual golf tournament.
Investment and fund eligibility
Investment
$50,000 up to $300,000
Criteria
- Applicant must have an established relationship with the University of Calgary as a current, past or visiting faculty member, a student, or has licensed or assigned intellectual property developed at the University of Calgary
- For-profit enterprise
- Technology Readiness Level (TRL): Stage 1-9
- Must be incorporated prior to receipt of funds
- Minimum one (1) full-time employee within six (6) months of UCeed investment
