Biography
Dr. Harjot Kaur Singh is a knowledgeable speaker to interfaith groups and a member of the Calgary Sikh community. Among her leadership roles, Dr. Singh is the chair of the Sikh Advisory Committee of UCalgary's Faith and Spirituality Centre, on the board of directors of the Guru Amar Das Niwas Seniors Nursing Home Association, the chair of the International Khalsa Council, and the inaugural Lil Faider Scholar in-Residence for the Beth Tzedec Synagogue. She is on the board of directors of Sikhnet and Siri Singh Sahib Corporation. She's an integral part of Calgary Women in Spirituality.
Dr. Singh has a BSc in Cellular, Molecular, and Microbial Biology and an MD from the University of Calgary. She's been a family physician in private practice since 1992. Dr. Singh is chair of the Alberta Health Services Spiritual Care Advisory Committee and chair of the Calgary Foothills Primary Care Network.
