Tools for managing eco-grief and climate anxiety
During UFlourish, the Office of Sustainability presented a two-part event series that addressed feelings of eco-grief and eco-anxiety, climate grief, and highlighted the interconnections between resilience and well-being.
The event series was facilitated by Jodi Lammiman, Founder of Refugia Retreats and Alana-Dawn Eirikson, UCalgary Office of Sustainability.
6 principles to inform inclusive campuses for neurodivergent people
To increase engagement in post-secondary settings, The Sinneave Family Foundation (Sinneave) in partnership with autistic self-advocates, developed a set of six principals that make post-secondary places and spaces more accessible for all.
The event series was facilitated by Jay Haukenfrers, Learning and Connection Coordinator for the Sinneave Family Foundation and Dr. Shane Lynch, Registered Psychologist and Director of Innovation at the Sinneave Family Foundation.

How diet influences mental health and resilience
Understanding how nutrients affect the brain allows individuals to explore alternate methods to address and improve mental health concerns. Along with supportive behavioural and family therapy approaches, scientific research supports the importance of incorporating dietary education and thoughtful nutrient intake to improve mental health and wellness.

Discover cybersecurity essentials with UCalgary's IT Department

During that month, the IT department hosted an informative (Halloween themed) session delving into the essential aspects of cybersecurity, providing practical insights to navigate the digital landscape. Discover strategies to address cyberbullying, handle online threats, securely share content and much more.
