New paper out in JVSCIT!

Our new paper titled "A Novel Combined Fluid Dynamic and Strain Analysis Approach Identified Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Rupture" is out in the May issue of the Journal of Vascular Surgery Cases and Innovative Techniques. In this study, Forneris et al. explore a new index, the Regional Rupture Potential, to aid in the assessment of individual aneurysms and their rupture risk, providing a rationale for clinical decisions to identify abdominal aortic aneurysms. This novel approach combines hemodynamics and geometric indices with in vivo deformation analysis to assess local weakening of the aortic wall. Read more below! Thank you to all the collaborators.

BTM Lab wins big at the ABM Conference in Banff

Our group recently attended the Alberta Biomedical Engineering Conference in Banff where our students presented some recent work. A shoutout to our undergrad student Mohammed Mustafa for winning Best Poster Prize from the Canadian Biomechanics Society and to our masters student Richard Beddoes for winning Best Poster Prize for clearest message. We are very proud of you!
