1) 7 members from 5 institutions across Canada, and 1 IDEaS Project Integrator from DND

2) 10+ industry collaborators

3) $1.5 million funding over3 years, supported by Department of National Defence (DND)

Team Members

Our team consists of over 15 Highly qualified personnel (HQP) and is led by 7 members from 5 research institutions across Canada, alongside 1 Project Integrator (DND).

News and Updates

Apr 2024: Our Micronet is invited to the 2024 IDEaS Marketplace on May 31 in Ottawa. We are preparing to showcase our research there. Please visit the Marketplace website for more details about the entire event.

Oct 2023: Our team successfully hosted the 1 day workshop as a hybrid in-person (in Aveiro, Portugal) and online event. Thank you to those who presented and were able to register and attend the event!

June 2023: We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting a workshop (1st Workshop on 5G and machine learning for IoT and unmanned aerial vehicles) at the IEEE 9th World Forum on Internet of Things 2023. More details will be announced at a later date. Click here for more details about the event.

Apr 2023: We conducted a virtual session with a tutorial highlighting software used for development of this project. Thanks to the HQP attendees, organizers, presenters, and it was nice meeting everyone!

Mar 2023: We have updated the list of HQP with the addition of new researchers in the team and are working on preparing newsletters and other media to facilitate communication.

Jan 2023: Happy New Year! The Micronet is looking forward to welcoming new students and researchers joining us this year and beyond.

August 2022: This website has been created and made live! More information will be added to this website at a later date.
