Biography

Jessica Revington is the current President of the University of Calgary Students’ Union (SU) and the first woman to be elected into the role in over a decade. Previously, Jessica proudly served as both the Vice President Academic and as a two-term Faculty of Nursing Representative with the Students’ Union. She has worked extensively as a student leader and advocate throughout her time on campus – in her current role, she represents the priorities and interests of over 26,000 undergraduate students to various stakeholders and levels of government. Jessica first began her leadership journey with the UCalgary Leadership and Student Engagement Office, participating in programs such as Camp LEAD, ucalgarycares, and the Student Advisory Council.

Jessica is a recent graduate of the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Nursing, receiving her BN in 2018. She has chosen to continue her studies at the University of Calgary in the Faculty of Science and is currently pursuing a second undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences. Jessica has also worked extensively in clinical research at the Alberta Children’s Hospital, conducting research on pediatric concussions, preventative medicine, and emergency medical standards of care. She has successfully presented her research into pediatric emergency care at conferences across Canada and looks forward to continuing her research efforts into improving current healthcare standards.
