Biography

Alan Chamberlain is a husband of an amazing woman, the father to 5 wonderful children, a proud member of the Metis Nation and has been a police officer for 10 years. In 2017, Alan was honoured and blessed to have a Blackfoot name transferred to him. The name he was given translates to BullHead. Alan was also recently adopted into the English family and is blessed to have such wonderful family members. Alan currently works as the Indigenous Liaison Officer for the Calgary Police Service. Prior to this role, he worked in District 6 for 6.5 years patrolling and was part of the mountain bike team. Alan is passionate about Indigenous issues, implementing the calls to action, and decolonizing colonial systems.
