Akash Asif

Biography

Akash graduated from the University of Calgary in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in psychology and Bachelor of Commerce in petroleum land management. Upon graduation, he worked for a software consulting firm and held management responsibilities for market development and software implementation.

During this time, he also ran SupportWorks, a Calgary-based organization providing peer support to people dealing with mental health issues.

In 2018, Akash completed a Master of Public Policy at the University of Calgary’s School of Public Policy. Shortly after, he joined the Centre for Suicide Prevention as the lead for partnerships and external affairs
