Want to learn more about Indigenous history and cultures? ucalgarycares Indigenous Leadership and Engagement is one of our most popular co-curricular programs. UCalgary students will learn from Indigenous Elders and honour Indigenous peoples’ stories, knowledges, and traditions as well as gain a better understanding of the history and worldview of Indigenous peoples in Canada.

Due to current Covid-19 restrictions, the ucalgarycares programs are on hold for 2022, therefore registration is not open at this time. Please refer to LSE Events for current events available through the Leadership and Student Engagement office as well as current programs offered through Community Engagement.

Prior to June, the participants attend four workshops and complete  Ótáp ímisskaan Training. Participating in this program is a great way to develop leadership skills, earn Co-Curricular record credit, make friends, have fun and create positive change.

Upon registration, you will be invited to attend one of our virtual information sessions to learn more about this year’s program.
