Whether you are an International or Canadian student, there are a lot of ways you can get involved with the International Student Services office. If you want to develop your professional skills and earn some volunteer experience while supporting international student programming, we encourage you to get involved with one of the many volunteer positions we offer in our office.

Get Involved

There are many ways to become involved with International Student Services. This page will be updated with information on when applications are open for the various leadership opportunities available.

Join Our Volunteer List!

Want to get involved? Sign up to join our volunteer list where we will promote any upcoming opportunities to volunteer at events throughout the upcoming academic year. These volunteer opportunities work well with a busy student schedule and will range from an hour, half-day, or full-day commitments depending on the specific event needs. If you’re looking for more structured engagement opportunities, consider participating in the Peer Helper, USpeakGlobal or Mentorship programs.

Become a Peer Helper Volunteer!

International Student Services Peer Helper volunteers are the first point-of-contact for students who enter the International Student Services office. Peer helpers offer peer advising to international students by answering questions and connecting students to the appropriate resources on and off-campus. Peer Helper volunteers also play an important role in the success of our ongoing programs and events by supporting Program Assistants in the development and implementation of these events.
