How do you make a successful transition from student to working professional? This workshop will help you understand the benefits of approaching career exploration with an open mind, and learn practical next steps you can take to be successful in your first job as a new grad.

Some careers are a straight line, some are a zig-zag. It's common for plans to change, especially as we mature — our passions and priorities may change, and new jobs may exist in the future that we never anticipated.

No matter what path you end up on, you can find ways to apply the knowledge and abilities from your past roles towards new and exciting ones. This panel will introduce you to professionals who have made pivots in their own careers — they'll share their lessons and advice for how to navigate the shift.

You don't need to be a seasoned professional to feel comfortable fighting for fair compensation. Salary negotiation is a common element of the job hunt, but stating salary expectations can be stressful to navigate.

Get tips for effective salary negotiations, learn what else is negotiable, and apply your new knowledge to practice negotiations in this interactive workshop. Take the opportunity afterward to network with your peers and other professionals.

Conflict Management 101 is an introductory conflict management workshop, where students learn about conflict styles, how to strengthen their conflict resolution skills, and increase their comfort levels with addressing conflicts.
