Submission guidelines

The Newcomer Research Network (NRN) is pleased to invite authors to submit abstracts for the upcoming Mobilizing Knowledge for Newcomers Symposium on October 15th, 2021.ย This can be oral, workshop, and poster presentations. Presenters may submit research, programs, policy recommendations, evaluation of newcomer-related research and program activities regarding following four focuses:

  • Education
  • Resettlement and Integration
  • Social and Health Care
  • Grassroots Community Engagement

We are using EasyChair program for the submission of the abstracts. Please use this link to register and submit.

Abstracts in English or French should be given a descriptive title, be double-spaced, have no more than 250 words (excluding references),ย and have the following sections: Background, Methods/Approach, Results/Observations, & Conclusion. The abstract review committee will be making the final decision of type of presentations.

โ€ขย Oral Presentation (15 minutes presentation and 10 minutes for Q/A)
โ€ขย 3 Minutes Poster Presentation (3 minutes presentation and 2 minutes for Q/A)

Details of the presentation process will be communicated once the abstracts are accepted. Please be sure to indicate whether your presentation will be in English or in French.
