Gifts from U.S.-based residents and organization
University of Calgary alumni and parents of current students who live in the United States are permitted to make tax-deductible gifts directly to the University of Calgary. Non-alumni and other U.S.-based organizations may make a gift through the American Friends of the University of Calgary, Inc.
American Friends of the University of Calgary is incorporated as a non-profit corporation under the laws of the State of Delaware. It is listed in Internal Revenue Service Publication 78 as a public charity.
Donors should always consult their own financial advisors about the appropriateness and validity of charitable contribution tax deductions in their jurisdiction for gifts made to the University of Calgary and the American Friends of the University of Calgary, Inc.
