National and global academic rankings
The University of Calgary ranked in the 201-300 range internationally and #8-11 nationally, ranked by Academic Ranking of World Universities for 2023.
The University of Calgary ranked 8th in Canada and 195th by the Center for World University Rankings for 2022-2023.
In June 2023, the QS World University Rankings 2024 were released. In this ranking, the University of Calgary placed 8th in Canada, and 182nd in the world.
The University of Calgary ranked in the 201-250th category internationally, and #9-10 nationally by the Times Higher Education 2024 rankings.
In the 2023 ranking, the University of Calgary is in the top 3 per cent of post-secondary institutions for advancing the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
The University of Calgary ranked in 175th place globally, (7th place in Canada) by U.S. News and World Report for 2023.
